2011!!

Hello 2011!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

For some reason I am VERY excited about this year! I don’t know whether its because I am becoming an Auntie for the second time or something else all I know is it feels like a good year!

As I said 2011 will see me becoming a auntie for the second time, but I will also be 21, my daughter will be 2 and starting nursery and growing into a completely different little girl!

Have a Fab 2011 everybody!

Thanks

Asda's Little Angels.Baby Wipes and Nappy Sacks>

Well as we get closer to Christmas the pennies seem to go quicker so this month when I was getting my nappy supply from Asda, I though I would try there own brand of fragrance wipes and nappy bags as the where cheaper then the usual branded baby wipes I use.

I must say I was completely impressed straight away, as they had a plastic clip top on them which not only keeps them from drying out but it also keeps LS out as she has a thing about pulling all the wipes out of the packets. I don’t know about you but I like scented wipes, and these smelt great, they smell I think a little bit sweet and fresh if that’s possible? Another great point about these wipes is that they don’t feel as wet as other brands I have tried, I thought this might make cleaning LS bottom harder but again to my surprise they worked brilliantly and I seem to use less wipes when I use these which I a great point!

I really don’t have anything bad to say about the wipes as I think they where fab and I will definitely be using them again.

Now the nappy bags this just like the wipes are great value for money, they smell great and are store away under a plastic clip top. They are a great size and very good at masking the smells from the nappy. I once again think these have a almost sweet sent, which is always better then baby poo!
I do have one bad point about the bags and that’s that they were a little difficult to get out of the packet to start with but no I have used a few they come out easily.

If you want the wipes they are available at Asda stores and are on offer at 4 for
£3.00 and the nappy sacks are £0.75

Thanks YMS xx

Review - The Winter Wonderland at Tamworth Snowdome

I could quite easily describe the winter wonderland in 4 phrases:

Magical, Breathe taking, Amazing and Cold.

OK so the last word would be obvious but let me explain my other choices.

When you first walk in to the winter wonderland snow play you are straight away whisked into the magical atmosphere. The snow beneath you crunches and sinks below you. LS loved this. I must tell you I found it hard to walk on at first but I found it go easier as you go on, if you don’t wish to walk on the snow there is a wooden path which goes around most of the trail. There are lots to do in the snow play/trail.

There is a place where you can go sledging down a snow hill and other smaller snow humps situated further round the trail. LS was too small to enjoy this but from what I saw everybody else was enjoying the fun, also there are sledges around the trail which LS did attempt and she loved it.

Further around the snow trail (going left) you will find a couple of fantastic photo opportunities, the first is a family of polar bears and further round a Santa’s sleigh filled with presents.

On your way round the trail you will see sign saying “Look out for the Yeti” well I must say you’re not likely to miss it as just further round the trail you will find a huge statue of a YETI! (Another photo opportunity).

Just past the yeti you will find your back at the start of the trail and you have to go back to the yeti to find the Winter Wonderland theatre, which is where you go next.

Now if I’m honest the show was the part I as least looking forward to mainly because I didn’t think LS would enjoy it, boy was I wrong. She loved it. As soon as the Basil Brush theme came on she along with all the other children where dancing and clapping and getting really excited to see what was next. When Basil Brush and he two assistants “Billy and Cindy” came on her eyes were glued to the show. It wasn’t just the children that enjoyed Basils show as long with myself a lot older members of the audience were laughing at his silly jokes and funny antics. My favourite part of the show was when Santa came on and got the audience involved in a panto style shouts, this for me made it feel more Christmassy.

The final part of the day was going to see the animals. They had rabbits, chickens, goats, donkeys, pigs and Reindeers YES Reindeers! You could pet some of the animals such as the rabbits and even the reindeers, we both enjoyed this. The rabbits were LS favourite. There was also place for you to have your photo taken in a sleigh which was great! We got a very lovely picture what you think?

There were 100 if not more lovely Christmas trees all around the trail covered in different coloured lights, I liked the blue light as they were jut lovely. Some of the trees where surrounded by large candy canes and other Christmas decorations. The best tree was a huge tree covered in blue light situated upstairs with the animals, it reached right up to the ceiling where it blending amazingly with the light on the ceiling, it really was I think breath taking. It completed the night beautifully. Overall it is a great family experience and I would definitely take LS again.

I would like to also mention the lovely free gifts from the wonderland, which were a free picture of us on the sleigh, a Thornton’s chocolate, and also a lovely Basil Brush teddy.

Thanks Danii & LS

Silvercross Pop Sport Pink Bubbles

I absolutely love my Silver Cross stroller! it’s a great stroller, my previous stroller I had to have replaced twice in less than a month so in the end I just had my money back and got this one. This was the one I originally wanted but couldn’t get it when we were getting out new stroller.

This is my review of the ‘Silver Cross Pop Sport (Pink Bubbles)’.

This stroller looks fab when you use it. I love the fact that even though it is mainly black the small amount of pink detail is enough makes it obvious that it’s a girlie stroller. The pink bubble design is continued over most of the stroller which adds to its appeal. My favourite detail in the bubbles and the pink strip with the logo on which goes from one side of the hood to the other, I’m not completely sure why but it just looks so simple which is why its so great..

If I was to fault this stroller it would be because of the rain cover, when LS is sitting in it and it is raining the rain cover doesn’t cover her feet completely and the velcro that fastens the rain cover at the bottom isn’t very strong and usually difficult to make reach the place you need to fasten to. Aside from the rain cover it has other qualities, it has two different strapping options which make it easier as your child grows, it also has a cup holder which again makes life easier as you have a bottle at hand when needed. The chair can be dropped bask down to nearly flat and is easy to do without interrupting the child if asleep. The foot rest can aso be dropped right down so when LS is bigger enough she can rest her feet on the stand.

The handling of the stroller is great the front wheels and two settings so if you prefer the four set wheels then you can have it or it you prefer the easier swivel wheel setting the choice is there. I always have the wheels on swivel as I find it makes things a lot easier. Its also the perfect size if I’m honest, it fits in all boots that I have had to use and is very easy to manoeuvre on and off buses, and even easier to drop down and it has a carry handle also. It not to heavy to carry when needed to.

Overall I may be biased as I purchased this stroller after having a hard time with a previous stroller but it is perfect. It assembles easy and you have two different sets of instructions on how to do so. The ‘Pop Stroller’ comes in various of different designs. The bubbles is also available in blue. You can purchase matching foot muffs and other accessories.

This is my first review so be kind!

Thanks, Bye xxxx
